ROBOTERA Q5 Joins the Platform
The Q5 is a wheeled humanoid built for real work rather than demos: it moves on a wheeled base for stability and endurance, and puts its degrees of freedom where the task is — the arms and hands.
What You Get
- Dual-arm manipulation — 44 degrees of freedom in total, with a 10 kg dual-arm payload, 1380 mm arm span, and a working range from floor level up to about 2 m
- Dexterous hands — XHAND 1 Lite with 11 degrees of freedom per hand, for grasps that need individual fingers rather than a gripper
- Autonomous navigation — 3D LiDAR plus depth cameras for mapping, localisation, and moving to a destination on its own
- A liftable torso — The body raises and lowers so the same robot can work at a low shelf and a high one
- Over 4 hours of endurance — Long enough for a full shift of reception, guided tours, or repeated fetch-and-place work
Platform Notes
The Q5 moves on a wheeled chassis — two drive wheels and four casters — so it is fast, stable, and quiet on flat indoor floors. It is not a walking biped, and the leg joints are there to raise, lower, and crouch the body rather than to take steps. Plan routes the way you would for a wheeled robot: level surfaces, ramps rather than stairs.
Getting Started
Install the Q5 driver from the dashboard marketplace, connect over the network, and the arms, hands, torso, navigation, and sensors show up as cards you can wire on the canvas.
